The Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden upgraded the accessibility of the Garden in 2013 and is proud to be an ADA-compliant facility. The Garden features redesigned widened paths and sidewalks, new accessible doors, additional restrooms and an elevator to provide all guests with access to the domed conservatory's balcony.

The parking lot includes 7 spaces reserved for persons with disabilities as well as a passenger loading/unloading lane directly in front of the building's main entrance. A limited number of non-motorized wheelchairs and strollers are provided on a first-come first-served basis for guest convenience.

The outdoor garden has also been designed to comply with ADA guidelines.
