This course is a follow-up to the HortEcology Design Workshop but can be taken as a standalone for anyone interested in learning more about gardening on the wild side. During three classes, Director of Horticulture and Education Kelly Norris will guide participants to implement naturalistic planting designs and ecologically manage these spaces for beauty and interest. Using examples from the Botanical Garden, students will observe practices at work, partake in hands-on activities and develop a management plan for their own home landscape. The course fee also includes a $25 coupon to Spring Garden Festival, where many of the featured plants will be for sale.
