Allionce Lion Dance Team
Allionce Lion Dance Team is a Des Moines-based, independent nonprofit group formed in 2015, with 24 members ages 12-23. The team encompasses numerous backgrounds and cultures, and they primarily perform traditional Asian fusion style lion dances.
Ballet Des Moines
Under the Artistic Direction of Serkan Usta, Ballet Des Moines was launched as a professional ballet company in 2012, bringing world-class performing artists to the Des Moines community for classical and contemporary main stage productions. Ballet Des Moines offers training for pre-professional dancers and engages thousands of local youth annually through educational and outreach programs.
Walter and Wagner Caldas, identical twins better known as the Brazilian 2wins or the B2wins, are from the slums of Brazil and grew up playing classical music on violins their father handmade. They are on a mission to make the world smile and are chasing their dreams to change the world through music.
Marguerite Downing (with accompanist Judith Henry of Judith Henry Piano and Voice Studio)
A seventh grader at Bergman Academy in Des Moines, Marguerite has appeared in local productions by Class Act Productions (CAP) Community Theatre in Altoona and the Des Moines Playhouse. She will sing Colors of the Wind.
Emmett Saah Phillips, Jr. is a multidisciplinary artist, educator and activist. Through teaching at local organizations and performing Hip Hop and Spoken Word Poetry all over Iowa and across the country, Emmett is passionate about telling stories that promote social justice and equality.
Chocolate Ganache Demo with Nik Pugmire
Nik Pugmire is the executive pastry chef at Doré Bakery and Port of Des Moines Event Group and has more than a decade of global pastry experience. His desserts can be found at The Riverwalk Hub, Trellis Café, The Purveyor, Trellis Catering, or by ordering directly through Doré Bakery.
Pragnya Yogesh is an Indian classical artist, choreographer, MBA graduate, and CultureALL Ambassador who has been dancing since age four. She is the artistic director of Eshanjali Dance Academy and has received many honors from prestigious dance festivals and productions throughout India and the United States.
