Spring Luncheon

June 11, 2020

11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Spring Luncheon is a cherished Botanical Garden tradition. Guests enjoy a fully catered lunch while listening to a gardening expert.

Meet our Keynote Speaker, Abra Lee

Abra Lee is a public horticulture leader, working within the green industry for 18 years. With rural roots in Georgia and a passion for pop culture, garden history, and style, she sees the interweaving of horticulture and our everyday lives as the path to increasing horticulture’s relevance and importance for a more inclusive, diverse audience. Lee is currently a fellow at Longwood Gardens and owner of Conquer the Soil, her online platform that celebrates the intersection of plants and pop culture. Her experience includes serving as the landscape manager for George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport where she received the Urban Ag Council’s Grand Award.

As the Botanical Garden focuses on serving a growing community and inspiring horticulture curiosity for a diverse population, Abra will help kick off the announcement of our newest effort to make plant education and exploration more accessible. Join us as we welcome Abra and hear her story of meeting challenges head on and inspiring others to create a garden that speaks to them.
