by James Hitchmough

Professor Hitchmough’s book is a rich resource for designing meadows and naturalistic plantings from seed. With helpful tables of data gleaned from decades of research, James’ book is a primer for a cost-effective way of establishing plant communities at any scale, particularly larger spaces. While some of the insights require calibration to the Midwest, there are few other tomes of its kind.
