With free daily admission for EBT, WIC, SNAP participants through Museums for All and a series of free days, the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden strives to offer unhindered access.

Museums for All

Visit the Botanical Garden and enjoy a warm tropical conservatory, explore beautiful outdoor gardens spring through fall, and learn about plants and gardening–all at no cost. Simply present an EBT, SNAP, or WIC card and a valid ID and receive unlimited free daily admission for up to four people.

Museums for All FAQs

How does Museums for All work?
Through Museums for All, the Botanical Garden offers free daily admission for up to four people with the presentation of a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), or Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card and a valid form of photo ID.

Do I need to register for anything?
No. Simply visit the Botanical Garden and show your SNAP, WIC, or EBT card and a photo ID, and you will receive free daily admission for up to four people, as often as you’d like.

Do I pay for daily admission with my SNAP EBT card?
No, your SNAP, WIC, or EBT card is only for identification purposes. There is no cost to access the Botanical Garden through Museums for All.

I have one SNAP EBT card. How many people can get the Museums for All rate with that card?
Each SNAP, WIC, or EBT card allows up to four people to get the Museums for All rate.

What about special events?
Free special event tickets apply only to events with ticket prices equal to or less than the cost of general admission.

Iowa Libraries Adventure Pass Program

Through the Iowa Libraries Adventure Pass Program, the Botanical Garden welcomes patrons from participating metro and regional libraries. Cardholders at participating libraries may check out a family pass to visit the Garden during regular admission hours at no cost.
